These vases represent a pinnacle of achievement in Fred Rich’s illustrious career. The brief included creating the largest two single pieces of enamelled silver that he could realistically produce. The enamelled sections are 345mm (13.5 inches) high, the vases standing overall at 475mm. Silver, silver gilt, 18ct gold, and enamel with 22ct gold cloissons. Designed with a coastal home in mind ‘Ocean Life’ celebrates the marine environment. With a special emphasis on the movement of water, many of the client’s favourite sea creatures are portrayed amongst the swirls and eddies of foaming water, resplendent in an array of gorgeous colour that only enamel can truly mimic. Three years in the making these vases are true masterpieces.
